History
Virginia María Erhart de Campo nació en Martínez, provincia de Buenos Aires, el 9 de octubre de 1925. Estudió en la UBA donde se recibió en 1952 como profesora de Letras. Se casó con Jaime Rest en 1963 con quien compartió su vida hasta su muerte. Ocupó también diversos cargos como docente en las mismas universidades que Jaime. Realizó numerosas traducciones del inglés, francés, alemán y latín. Sus temas de investigación se centraron en Jane Austen, Shakespeare, Walter Eliot y la literatura rosa entre otros. Sus trabajos fueron publicados en revistas como Sur, Cuadernos del Sur, La Biblioteca, Arte y Crítica, Zohra, Anales de Filología Clásica y Crisis. Virginia Erhart muere en Buenos Aires el 30 de junio de 2001
